Derbyshire Skills Festival

Derbyshire Skills Festival is organised by Derbyshire County Council and Derby City Council. It is a chance for young people aged 15 to 19 to get information and guidance about their future.

More than 10,000 people visited the Derbyshire Skills Festival - the largest careers event in the county.

Derbyshire Skills Festival included a three day event, which were held this year at The Roundhouse in Derby and Queen's Park Sports Centre in Chesterfield.

Young people and their parents and carers met representatives from colleges, sixth forms, apprenticeship providers, universities and employers.

Derbyshire YOUTHINC careers advisors were on hand to speak to young people about the options open to them.

There were also a number of 'have-a-go' sessions to try out a new skill in engineering, media and health and social care.
